Hello there, fellow creative!
I hope you're having a good last day of October.
There is so much content out there...it can be difficult to consume design-related content on a daily basis (it's certainly a challenge for me at times).
However, if you don't have a problem with this, I'd recommend listening to a few of these design podcasts:
In case you're interested, here are some videos I made in October:
I’ve started a new video series about my web design process - to be precise, website redesign process, so I thought I’d document my website redesign process. Here’s the first episode, in which I discuss Google Analytics, Canva, and Webflow insights: link to YouTube video.
There are numerous analytics and tracking tools available to help you better understand user behaviour. I simply prefer to use GA. If you're unfamiliar with it or how to get started, but would like to learn more about your users/customers, Google offers free training: link to Google Analytics training.
As a product/UX/UI designer, you may be asked to conduct quantitative user research, and I believe GA is ideal for this type of data collection. When I can, I always prefer data-drive design.
One of my most controversial videos to date...why junior designers have a difficult time finding work. I'd love to hear your thoughts...link to video.
My favourite video of the month has to be this: UX design explained in 2 min.
It occurred to me that we only have 63 days until 2022 as of October 31st, 2021.
What are you going to do with it?
I do have a plan...I’m going to participate in NaNoWriMo and write a first draft of my book. Stay tuned for an update! :)
Until next time, take care!
